Banana Nut Cheesecake
This Banana Nut Cheesecake is a no bake cheesecake recipe or rather I'd say, a very simple cheesecake recipe that you can try if you just about have bananas and cream cheese in your kitchen now and keen to make a quick fuss-free dessert. Since this banana cheesecake recipe requires no baking, it is important that you use ripe bananas. Slice them only when you are about to add them to the cheesecake as slicing them too early will result in the banana slices turning brown from oxidisation. Not exactly pretty.
Ingredients 1 Sponge Cake Mix
250 g Cream Cheese; at room temperature
1 1/2 cups Sour Cream
90g Instant Vanilla Pudding
5 Bananas; ripe
1 cup Cool Whip
1 cup Chopped Pecan Nuts
Method
Prepare sponge cake as per stated instructions on the box. Beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add sour cream, beat well. Add instant pudding mix and beat until just blended. Pour mixture over cooled sponge cake. Slice bananas over the cheese layer and cover with Cool Whip. Top with chopped pecans as desired. Best to serve chilled. _________________________
