Banana Orange Cake



This Banana Orange Cake should be renamed Easy Banana Cake as this is one really quick easy dessert recipes to prepare.

Simple dessert recipes like this are time savers that come in handy when you need to bake a quick cake. Even beginners can have lots of fun with baking recipes and weave out a best dessert time and again.

Ingredients

225 g			        	Self-raising Flour; sifted
1 tsp			        	Soda Bicarbonate
170 g			        	Castor Sugar
170 g			        	Butter
4			        	Eggs; whites and yolks separated
1 cup			        	Ripe Bananas; mashed
3 tbsp				Fresh Orange Juice

Method

Cream butter with sugar till light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at a time and beat well.

Add mashed bananas and continue to beat. Then add egg whites which have been whisked till frothy. Fold in sifted flour. Reduce speed and add orange juice gradually.

Bake at 180°C for 50 minutes to an hour or till cake turns golden brown.

Always preheat oven
- or cake will not bake well
- cooking time will be wrong

Cool cake before decorating
- to prevent crumbly top

Coat fruits & nuts with flour
- to prevent sinking to bottom
