Refreshing and appetizing diabetic desserts - Homemade Diabetic Apple Cake

This Diabetic Apple Cake recipe is one of the healthy homemade recipes for diabetic desserts which uses Fruit Sweet as the natural sweetener to replace refined sugar. Fruit Sweet is made from pure fruit syrups and is low in calories, fat-free and low-glycemic.



Homemade Apple Cake

Ingredients

1 cup			        	Apple Butter
1/2 cup 				Butter; melted
2 			        	Medium Eggs
1 1/2 cups		        	Flour; sifted twice
3/4 cup 				Raisins
1/2 cup 				Fruit Sweet
1 1/2 tsp. 		         	Baking Soda
1/2 cup 				Walnuts; chopped

Method

Beat eggs until just frothy. Add butter and apple butter. Leave aside.

Sift flour together with baking soda. Add in raisins and chopped walnuts to the flour mixture. With a large spatula, fold half of flour mixture into with egg mixture, add 1/4 cup Fruit Sweet, mix thoroughly before adding the remaining flour mixture and Fruit Sweet. Blend well.

Pour batter gently into a greased tube baking pan. Bake at 190°C for 40 minutes or until cake turns golden. Let cool before serving.

Apple Butter

Ingredients

3/4  cup		        	Brown Sugar Substitute
1 tsp		                	Nutmeg
1 tsp		                	Ground Cinnamon

Method

This recipe makes 240 ml.

Mix all ingredients in crock pot with paper towels under lid. Slow cook for 8 hours.
