Sugar Free Raisin Oat Bars
Sugar free dessert recipes include homemade Raisin Oat Bars, perfect for the weight conscious. You will find these chewy snack bars delicious, nutritious.
Imagine, made in your very own kitchen instead of buying healthy bars off the rack. Instead of sugar, you can use Stevia or other forms of natural sugar substitute. If you do not like raisins, you can add dried cranberries or apricot or other fruits of your choice.
Ingredients
2 cups Oats
1 cup Wheat Flour
2 tsp Natural Sugar Substitute
3/4 cup Raisins
1/2 cup Wheat Germ
3/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
3/4 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Virgin Coconut Oil
3/4 cup Apple Sauce
1 Egg; beaten
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Method
Mix together virgin coconut oil, apple sauce, egg and vanilla essence. Add this mixture into oats, wheat flour, sugar substitute, raisins, wheat germ. Mix until just blended. Add in ground cinnamon and salt.
Press mixture firmly onto greased baking pan and bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes until bars turned light golden brown.
