Time For Some Quick & Healthy

Yummy Smoothie Recipes!



We have been very passionate about smoothie recipes these days. First, we found that smoothies can be enjoyed as delicious protein drinks which is good as a meal replacement if you intend to lose some pounds like we did (me and my husband). You will feel full after the drink, I assure you.

We now enjoy smoothies as a meal replacement on alternate days and look forward to some positive results which we shall keep you updated of our progress. Right now my husband's weight is at 83kgs while mine shall remain a secret, since embarassment really got the better of me.

Some of you may start thinking, "Hmm, some boring meals coming your way..." But rest assured, smoothies do not have to be all boring and lame. Guess I'll have to start picking my brain for some creativity in this department. Well, maybe I can add your favourite nuts (I favour almonds) or oats for a denser smoothie.

Have any suggestions? Maybe you can help us out and make our smoothie meal replacement ordeal a far more pleasant and delicious one :)

Back in the old days, smoothies were just fruit, fruit juice and lots of ice as the health craze has not really set in. By early 1970s, ice milk came into the picture in the form of shakes. Come early 1980s, fitness was trendy as in natural foods like oats and wheat brans.

Two decades on, the health awareness continued to rage on with marked demand in diet foods and healthy meal replacements, hence the snack or protein bar. If you tire of the old bar, why not make a smoothie drink instead? It is so versatile that you will enjoy it at every meal!

Most importantly, there must be natural yogurt, fresh fruit and milk in your smoothies. Make sure your blender is free of any residues before you put in all your ingredients. I usually pulse thrice for that nice fluffy foam. Really, this beats ice cream anytime!
