Melting Moments With Tiramisu

Tiramisu recipes are relatively new Italian dessert recipes that have gained a huge following over a short period of time.

This favourite Italian dessert literally means 'pick-me-up' in the Italian language. 'Tira' means 'pick', 'mi' as in 'me' and 'su' means 'up'! Why 'pick me up'? It's the high you get as you enjoy this dessert, mainly from the effects of sugar and espresso.

Exquisitely delicious, layered, richly creamy and generously infused with espresso and rum thus giving an almost heavenly eating experience.

These elegant Italian cakes are usually served either sliced or cut into squares. One word of warning though, never ever serve tiramisu dessert at room temperature - you won't wanna know how it tastes like. It is best served cold, right out from the fridge will be best.
